Score the game in Classic Mode or Yardage Mode

Not every team needs the same amount of detail.

Classic Mode is the faster scoring option. It records the result of the play and the players involved without requiring yardage on each supported offensive play.

Yardage Mode adds passing, rushing, and receiving yards. On a completed pass, the scorer selects the passer, receiver, result, and yardage. StatHawk applies that information to the passing and receiving lines in the box score. Rushes and sacks follow their own scoring flows.

Both modes keep score, possession, downs, drives, and player attribution. First downs remain scorer-confirmed. Yardage does not automatically calculate an exact ball spot.

What the free box score includes

Every recorded play contributes to the game record. When the game is final, the box score can include:

The same game data feeds season totals and player game logs. A coach does not have to enter the final stat lines again in a separate spreadsheet.

Free sharing for parents and families

StatHawk includes two different sharing options.

GameView is a read-only browser link. Parents and fans can open it without downloading StatHawk or creating an account. It can show the score, game situation, play feed, and selected player and team statistics.

Postgame outputs include a shareable summary, the box score, standard PDF reports, a full play-by-play CSV, and a Game Recap for an eligible completed game.

GameView is not video. StatHawk does not record or stream the game.

Free MaxPreps export for high school programs

For an eligible finalized high school game, StatHawk can export a MaxPreps-ready player-stat file.

This is a file export, not a sync, an API, or an automatic upload. The coach saves or shares the file and imports it through MaxPreps Team Admin. The file does not set the final score or game result in MaxPreps.

Before the season, make sure every player has a valid, unique jersey identifier. Missing or duplicate identifiers can block the export. The complete sequence is covered in How to Export Flag Football Stats to MaxPreps.

Does it work for youth and high school flag football?

Yes. StatHawk includes preset formats for:

• 5v5 Standard
• 5v5 Air-It-Out
• 6v6
• 7v7 Girls High School
• 7v7 Boys

Custom format settings are also available. They should not be treated as automatic support for every league rule. Confirm the format, downs, scoring options, and other local rules before creating the season.

For high school girls flag football, StatHawk includes rules-aware support for an NFHS baseline and a California CIF overlay. That includes differences in periods, zones to gain, punts, tries, penalties, and overtime for supported configurations.

What happens if the field has poor service?

If the device loses its connection during an active game, StatHawk can keep scoring that game. The coach can finish the game, and the pending data syncs later when the device is back on the internet.

This is connection-loss protection during a game. It does not mean a coach can open StatHawk, sign in, or start a new game without an internet connection. GameView also cannot receive new information until the scoring device reconnects and syncs.

What Pro adds

The free version answers, What happened in the game?

Pro goes further into patterns across games and seasons. Depending on the available data, Pro can add:

• Yardage Mode does not create automatic GPS or exact-yardline tracking.
